This year Simon Reay was a key collaborator with the team hired to re-work and refresh classic children’s global hit Teletubbies (BBC and Nickelodeon USA). Working closely with VFX Supervisor Rob Harvey (VFX Oscar Winner - Gladiator) and Malcolm Woolridge & Rob Delicata from The VFXco (Harry Potter, Pan). Simon’s approach to new Teletubbies brings together the latest VFX camera motion capture techniques (NCam), motion control and scaling of miniature sets.

In 2013 Simon worked with director Barny Revill and Oxford Scientific Films to launch the series of ITV1 documentaries “The Secret Life of Dogs” (Cats/Babies), voiced by Martin Clunes. The two part follow up episode “The Secret life of Me” to be shot in Spring and Autumn 2015 with Director Luke Wiles. Simon has collaborated with Oxford Scientific Films on a number of their acclaimed shows in the past few years and in 2014 scooped a Guild of Television Cameramen ‘Award for Excellence’ on their RTS nominated “How To Win the Grand National” (Channel 4).

In 2005 Simon shot the pilot and subsequently the next 5 seasons of Man V’s Wild with Bear Grylls. He picked up an Emmy nomination in 2010 for his cinematography on Episode 45 “Big Sky Country”, directed by Konrad Begg.
Simon has also shot drama for Directors including Otto Bathurst and SJ Clarkson and commercials in the UK, South Africa and USA for a wide range of clients and agencies including Olgilvy & Mather, Euro RSCG NY & Mindshare NY.
